Zayataki hissed as she stalked through the forest. The forest was dark and lonely, just the way she liked it. She didn't like company, but it would be nice to have someone to intimidate. She turned into her wolf form, loping along smoothly. 'Now....if someone would just come by....' she thought, casually leaping on a rabbit and snapping its neck with a easy motion. 'It would be so nice to have a......conversation.' she thought wickedly.
Oboro dragged his feet through the forest, lightly kicking aside the fallen leaves in his path. Periods like this were the absolute worst in his mind. It had been weeks since his last mission, and lately all he really had been assigned to was recon on miscellaneous targets. Deep down he knew he should feel more thankful that his home was having an extended period of peace, but he really did miss the adrenaline rush that combat provided. All that remained for him to do at this point was gather supplies which was far from necessary at this moment.
Coming to a halt, the ninja scanned his environment for a moment before resting his eye on a large stone embedded within the ground. Letting out a quiet sigh, he proceeded to it and sat nearby, resting his back against the landmark. For a brief moment he could pick up the faintest scent of what he assumed to be a fresh kill in the distance, but quickly shrugged it off. Nature was more often than not cruel and that's likely all this amounted to.
'Something's gotta give soon,' he thought, idly stretching. At the very least he could take comfort in the silence this area provided.
Zayataki stalked into the clearing, coming to a halt at the sight of Oboro. Her lips lifted from her teeth in a snarl, her hair raised all the way down her back. "Hello, Oboro." She snarled, her usually melodic voice harsh and grating. "What brings you here?" she said, putting as much contempt and annoyance into the words as she could.
